If I had to pick between this album, David Bowie’s Station to Station (1976), and the Clapton album from number 325, I’d pick Bowie. Overall, Station to Station has a better flow for me. The album itself isn’t that long, about 38 minutes but the first song is 10 minutes long. And then “Golden Years” kicks in. I just love that song. I mostly remember the first time I heard it. It was used in either a movie or a TV miniseries based on a Stephen King book. That’s the part I don’t remember, but I do remember the first time that song started and I was kinda blown away. It was at a time when it wasn’t always easy to find out what a song in a movie/TV show was. You had to watch all the end credits and hope they didn’t go too fast. Anyway, I just love that song. The rest of the album is pretty good, too.
