I kinda thought that I had talked about Radiohead before, and I have just not in relationship to this list. I took an intermission in May to check out their new album. In Rainbows (2007), is the seventh album released by the band. It was self-released and was a “pay-what-you-want” thing. Not unheard of in the industry but not something that major acts tend to do. That moved caused a bit of a stir. It sold over three million copies world wide and received critical acclaim. It won two Grammys for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Special Limited Edition Package (is that a real thing?).
The only thing I know about Radiohead is that they’re a bunch of Creeps. So far, that’s the only thing I like about them. I’m indifferent to the price fiasco. From the little reading I did on the subject, it looks like it was pretty profitable even though there were a large number of people that downloaded it for free. I dunno. I don’t care. I hope “Creep” is on this list somewhere.
