368 Take It Easy

There are several BIG bands that seem to be sacrilegious for people of my age to not like. The Eagles are one of them, and I’m not a big fan. I don’t hate them like I do a certain other band. I’m actually fairly indifferent to the Eagles. Yes, I can sing along to “Take It Easy,” but I’d rather change the station.

The Eagles self titled debut album hit the streets in 1972. It was an instant success for the band. The very first song is the rather annoying but singable “Take It Easy.” If you live in Winslow, AZ you just might hate the song, especially if you have to be in the area of the gift shop that plays it on repeat all. day. long. “Witchy Woman” is another notable song on the album. There was a third single, “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” and even though I just listened to the album last night, I don’t remember it much. I was a little surprised to find out that this album is, apparently, my best friends favorite album ever. I’m not sure what I would have thought her favorite to be, but I wouldn’t have picked this by a long shot.
