370 Mott

Has Mott the Hoople been on the list already? I feel like I’ve listened to these guys once already but it must not have left much of an impression. This album, Mott, didn’t leave much of an impression either. I listened to it (well, tried anyway) just before staring at my ceiling, not sleeping, for a few hours. I started with good intentions but quickly got bored and ended up reading an article about the boy that took a taser to the chest a few years ago. The cop that tased him was sentenced recently and this article was more about his father who is also a cop. Interesting read, more interesting than Mott.

If I didn’t say it last time, Mott the Hoople was a British glam rock band from the ‘70s. Seems they had some help from David Bowie. He wrote a song for them, “All the Young Dudes,” which became their biggest hits. Mott became their best selling album in the U.S. (and maybe the U.K., too). Around 1980, the band split up. They’ve reunited a few times (2009 and 2013). And, that’s about all I could (cared) to find out about them. I suppose those interested in ‘70s glam rock should do more extensive reading/listening. Good luck.
