(What’s the Story) Morning Glory is the biggest thing I remember about Oasis. It was the band’s second album, released in 1995. “Champagne Supernova” and “Wonderwall” were my favs. I might have worn out a CD or two, and listening to it now brought back memories of some great Pacific Northwest road trips. I’m not big into keeping up with the antics of musicians, but it was hard to miss reports of band infighting. Did that come later? I don’t remember. The album was a commercial success at the time but didn’t receive much in the way of critical acclaim. Opinion seems to have shifted as the album lands at number 378 on Rolling Stone’s list. It was also voted, by the public, to win the greatest ‘Best Album’ winner in the history of the BRIT Awards.
