I can’t say I’m a huge Neil Young fan. I mean, I like his stuff when I listen to it but never enough to add it to my music collection. Tonight’s the Night is the perfect example of this. It was on while I was writing a script and it didn’t irritate me. Wiki tells me that it was released in 1975 and most of it was recorded in a single day in 1973. That little, maybe, factoid I find amazing. Rolling Stone says it’s a tribute to two of Young’s friends that died from drugs and they call it “his darkest, most emotionally frayed album.” Yeah, I get that. I’m probably gonna add this to my library at least for a little bit so I can listen to it again.
