443 Cheap Tricks

Cheap Trick wants you to want them and, apparently, they’ve wanted it for some time. I had no idea that they originally did I Want You to Want Me in 1977. I remember it from the ‘80s. It was released on In Color (Epic, 1977) and as a single that went no where. They redid their own song in 1979, recorded it live and it became their biggest selling single and hit number 7 on the Billboard chart. I don’t care for the original version. I don’t care for the second version either. Actually, I don’t care for Cheap Trick at all and In Color did nothing to help my dislike for the band. They have been around since 1974 and, according to Wiki, released their latest album in 2009.
