477 NO BOXED SETS ALLOWED

NO! NO ! NO! Okay, it took me forever to get through this album. The thing about Merle Haggard’s ‘Down Every Road’ (Capitol, 1996) is that it’s a box set of FOUR albums. Its like a greatest hits from 1962-1994. I listened to the first three albums in one setting and I wanted to kill myself. So, it took me 2 months to get over my Haggard nightmares and listen to the last one. And, the only reason I really got over it was because my digital art professor asked me how the project is going. I guess if he is paying attention, I better get moving. So, Haggard isn’t for me, at least, not all in one setting.

As an aside, I feel compelled to say that I don’t think boxed set should count on a greatest albums of all time list. They should go on a greatest boxed sets of all time list.
