An hour and fifteen minutes of nope. Can I stop there? No? Damn.
The Minutemen was an American band from San Pedro, CA formed in 1980. They have been labeled as: hardcore punk, punk rock, post-punk, and alternative rock. They were active from 1980 - 1985. The band came to an end when vocalist and guitarist, Dennes Dale “D” Boon, died in a van accident on I-10 in Arizona. Boon was lying down in the rear without a seatbelt when the van ran off the road. If you want more details than that, head over to Wiki.
The Minutemen made four studio albums. Double Nickels on the Dime (SST, 1984) was their third album and it was a double originally containing 45 songs. It is seen as their best album. It was re-released in both ’87 and ’89 as CD’s. Apparently, there was a compatibility issue with the CDs and songs were removed from both versions. The only version I could find was from 1989. I don’t think it would have mattered. I still don’t care for punk.
